Button Socket Cap Screws are used in applications requiring a larger bearing surface or shorter head height than a socket head cap screw. These screws are made dimensionally to ISO 7380, and consist of grade 12.9 alloy steel with a mechanical zinc finish, which provides corrision resistance like electroplating, but does not subject the part to the risk of hydrogen embrittlement that is possible with electroplating.
